Definition of the Dhaka ASC

The Dhaka Area Service Committee (DASC) formed by the NA Group GSRs, Administrative Officers and Subcommittee Chairpersons with the objective to serve NA fellowship of Dhaka & its adjacent area. The primary objective is to serve the still suffering addicts by carrying the message recovery by formulating and implementing various policies.

DASC Objectives and Functions:

  1. Provide support to all enlisted groups (Both Proactively & reactively)
  2. Coordinate and implement H&I, PR, LTC, Phone line and other Subcommittees
  3. Formulate policy and smooth implementation of those policies for carrying the NA message to the still sufferers.
  4. Assist new groups or potential groups to structure their groups in proper NA The most important service that the Area Service Committee (ASC) provides is to support its groups actively. For successfully achieving DASCs objective NA groups will provide following support (according to the First Concept) actively to DASC:
  • Conscience
  • Human Resource
  • Financial Support

Participants of DASC:

The Dhaka Area Service Committee (DASC) contains the following members and together they completed The Service Body within the Dhaka area. A prerequisite to being a participant is that the person must come from any enlisted NA Groups of DASC.

  1. All enlisted Group GSRs or Alternate GSRs (of the enlisted Group)
  2. Administrative Officers (elected by all Group GSRs)
  3. Chairpersons or Vice Chairperson (In absence of the Chairperson) of all permanent and Ad-hoc Subcommittees. But Ad-hoc Subcommittees Chairpersons have not entitled the voting authority in DASC.
